Original Artist: Kathy Sparks

Kathy Sparks, a Grass Valley resident and co-owner of The Louvre has been drawing and painting since she can remember. She enjoys working in a variety of media such as oil, pastel and watercolor.

More recently, Kathy has been creating pieces of mixed media collage which is a combination of ink, paint, paper, and other materials. Her pieces are often full of light and color.

Her artwork reflects her thoughts that in art, as in life we are always in a state of constant change. She believes that self expression is fundamental to true happiness and finds pleasure in the journey of creating, not just the final product.

Kathy’s works can be found at The Louvre or at Kane’s restaurant in downtown Grass Valley. She invites anyone to stop in and take a look at her work. Every piece is an original and can be purchased conveniently online.
